Wow...
2:18 PM
I don't understand how people think.
I just watched After School cover "Sway" sung by the Pussy Cat Dolls at a stage performance. I think all the comments left on Allkpop were positive. No one dissed, criticized, or bashed them. They were all compliments. Now I know Vietnamese artists cover too many songs, but they get soo many bad comments for doing so. Like, there are rarely any nice comments on the YouTube video page or wherever. Why are people so narrow-minded? Like this one CF for KFC Chicken that was recently posted on the web...here's what I said to the many other commentors before me:
"Wow, this entry gained a lot of comments since I last dropped by.
Anyway, a lot of what I wanted to say was already said, but I have one thing to ask: How can the Vietnamese music industry become original?
I’m not pointing fingers, but I don’t know what it is about overseas Viets hatin’ on their own country. It doesn’t matter if a song is original; it still is “Korean-influenced” or sounds a lot like another song, whether it be the beat or even the meaning/story behind the song. If this is a problem, how come there are so many songs about love? Sad love, happy love…the list can go on. The haters aren’t allowing the Vietnamese music industry to become original because they are refusing to see orginality or they don’t know what it is since they are most likely overly-obsessive fangirls/boys of Korean music, and therefore can criticize and diss whatever they don’t “like.” (Maybe deep down inside they do but won’t admit it…) And anything that’s not Korean is a copy of something Korean. And many say they wish they were Korean. Ohh mann.
But seriously, how can the Vietnamese music industry become original? Should all modern music be stopped and the folk songs be “in”? Heck, folk songs get dissed all the time. I don’t understand what the haters want.
(Sorry for the long comment, VC! I just wanted to let that all out and this was a great opportunity. By the way, I stalk this blog all the time and I commend y’all for doing an awesome job. ^^)"
There was a lot more I could've said but didn't because I didn't want my comment to be even longer. It's just that no matter what new Vietnamese song or music video or whatever is released, the haters are there to find fault because they are ashamed of their own heritage. It's ridiculous!

A walk down memory lane...
4:56 PM
I've decided to do this for about a week now mainly because it's a new year (yay), and I can look back and laugh at how silly I was and how bad my tastes were. I read my journal that I started keeping in 6th grade (I think) and wondered what in the world I was thinking. The boys I liked in elementary school weren't any better. Haha. My recent crushes I can understand why I liked them but my old crushes...puhahaha.
Anyway, here's my list of crushes ever since I started becoming interested in boys:
1st grade: Frankie V., Stephen V., and Aaron Q.
- Honestly, I don't know what I was thinking. I guess they were cute (as in little-boy-cute) and I liked them. But still, what was I thinking? *gags*
3rd grade: Madison G.
- Yeah, he doesn't know about this. We were in the same class for the first time and I liked him. But I stopped once we became friends not that long into the school year. Lolol.
4th grade: Chance
- Umm, he was cute, but in another class. Therefore I never found out his last name. XD
5th grade: Patrick P. and Ever M.
- These guys were 8th graders, haha. I saw Patrick when he came with the Field orchestra director and other orch dorks to the elementary school to talk about orchestra. He was a bassist and that was perfect considering his tall stature. And Ever used to walk by my house to go to school. Teehee. ^0^
6th grade: Cody P. and Arturo H.
- I thought they were cute, but especially Cody. But then he moved after 6th grade. Arturo was an 8th grader in my PE class.
7th grade: Dakota W. and Ryan M.
- Major sigh. I have absolutely no clue why I thought they were even hot, let alone likeable. Excuse me while I go puke.
8th grade - Duong K., Travis C., and Chase M.
- I met Duong in Oklahoma; he was a cute drummer. The last two were seventh graders...yeah, no comment.
9th grade: Brandon W., Peter Z., Jimmy P., and Mark L. (Korean)
- *begins another bout of puking* I feel like cussing when I see his name or any reference to him in my journal. Why the fudge did I like Brandon? Gross, gross, gross!! Peter I thought had a neck problem before I knew who he was. He was cute to me then, but I can't agree to that now. I also thought Jimmy was cute even though I knew him in middle school. Guess I didn't acknowledge his cuteness until high school? *rolls eyes* I liked Mark before one of my church friends did and before I even knew him. I didn't like him for long because of that friend and because we got to know each other and became acquaintances.
10th grade: Sangho H., Peter Z., and Jonathan K.
- I still think about Sangho and Jonathan. Sangho was in my Spanish class for a week freshman year and I thought he was cute. And then wo and behold, he was in my chemistry class when I walked in on the first day of sophomore year. He is just so handsome and hot at the same time. So is Jonathan, who I met at Disciple Now. He's talented (guitarist & singer-songwriter) and a strong Christian. I sound so ridiculous saying this, but I think our meeting each other and every conversation and activity we had was planned by God. Peter was a lingering crush, I would say.
Summer '07: Richard H. and Jonathan K.
- Both hot and handsome, tall and lanky, although the former is taller than the latter. Also both Christians. Their smiles melted my heart.
11th grade: Jonathan K.
- If you've read my blogspot or LJ entries, you'll know why.
12th grade-Freshman year of college: Jonathan K.
- Ditto. And I just can't stop thinking about him.
So there you have it. All of the boys and guys I've had crushes on. Any of them surprise you? Ha, they surprise the current me, too.

2010
11:04 AM
2009 is really over. It's 2010! My rating for 2009 is a 5 out of 10. More good happened than bad like every year, but more good happened than the previous years. So 5/10.
I currently don't have any New Years resolutions, and I usually do. I mean, I always have "lose weight" on my list but all I've done is gained. I sound so fat and desperate right now. ><
Anyway, F.Cuz debuts in 7 days! I so cannot wait!!

Snow
4:09 PM
It's snowing again! It's snowing beautifully this time. Last time (when I was still in Waco) the snow had a short duration and was not as graceful.
Well, gotta get ready for church! The Christmas worship service is tonight.

Haircut
8:43 PM
I got a haircut on Saturday. It's probably the best haircut I've gotten in a longgg time.
It's another short bob but it's much, much better than the last one I got.
